Pet adoption is taking ownership and responsibility for an animal by taking over its care from an animal shelter or its previous owner, or by saving it from the streets yourself, rather than buying it from a breeder. Animals available for adoption are no less beautiful and energetic than those offered for sale. Adopted animals may also be in better health since there is someone to take care of them. Many adopted animals are also more grateful for their adopters.

Health with adoption

Cats available for adoption from a shelter are usually vaccinated and sterilized/neutered, and their health is verified before handing them over to the adopter. This is unlike cats offered for sale, which are usually neglected because the breeder sees them as merchandise.

You won’t be cheated

When you adopt, you can be sure that the person responsible for the animal does not have any material interest. You did not pay a price for the animal itself, so you will not be cheated.

Adoption saves many lives

There are a lot of unwanted animals who die due to their lack of a home and care. Adopting one not only saves the life of the adopted pet, it also allows volunteer groups to save the life of another animal in its place.

You can get more information

When adopting an animal, shelters and other rescue groups can often provide you with information such as its personality, its treatment of children, its acceptance of cats and other animals, and its level of activity. In contrast, shops that sell pets do not care enough to learn or provide this information.
